She was predeceased by: her parents, William Frank and Ouida Pickering Crosby; and her brother William Frank "Buddy" Crosby, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Bob Poovey, III of Gastonia; her son Matt; her daughter-in-law Melissa Hood Poovey of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, Annabelle and Will.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 218, Gastonia, NC 28053.
