It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Yvonne Peele of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Noah Hardin; her husband Staton James Peele III; and the father of her children John R. Wheeler. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathryn DeFeo (Tom) and Dana Phillips (William); her grandchildren, Brandon Johnson (Tiffany), Jon-Tyler Stewart, Gabrielle DeFeo and Nicholas DeFeo; and her great grandchildren, Gavin Johnson and Addison Johnson.
