She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Stanley Miller and Grace Johnston Miller; her husband Scott Matthews; and her son-in-law Robert Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Parker (John) of Gastonia, Maggie Cochran (Daniel) of Lawndale, Ruth Smith of Gastonia and Terri Hayes (Randolph) of Gastonia; her grandchildren, Daryl Parker, John Parker Jr., John Rowland, Scott, Michael, Ken Smith and Kellie Truett; and her stepgrandchildren, Alecia Ross, Peggy Henderson and Grady Joe Cochran.
