He was predeceased by: his parents, Jumat Ally and Sharifan Ally; and his brothers, Asraph (Bayo), Mustapha and Muntaz.

He is survived by: his sisters, Mooniran (Moon), Jahiman (Choon) and Mahamudan (Baba); his wife Deborah McQuitter Ally; his son Stephen (Jenna); and his mother-in-law Hazel McQuitter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
