He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Diane Holcomb; his wife Elizabeth Ann Holcomb; his children, Marc Holcomb (Miriam, Steve Holcomb) and Dana Young (Scott); his stepchildren, Lisa Samples and Brian Samples (Pam); and his siblings, Vickey Lingerfelt and Phil Holcomb (Judy). He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gaston Hospice or First Presbyterian Church Stanley General Fund.
