With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louise Elaine Fortner (Gastonia, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 73. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Louise leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Louise may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Azelpha Meadows Matthews of Gastonia and Daniel Theodore Matthews of Gastonia; her husband Clyde Wayne Fortner; her children, Alisha Gail Renda and Michael Lee McNabb; and her brothers, Ira and Hank William Wallen.
She is survived by: her siblings, Cathey Hill-Harris, Mickie Gail McNabb and Aurthur Lee Wallen.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gaston Memorial Park (1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
