He is survived by: his daughters, Shelia (Gary Hammond) and Kim (Gary Broome); his stepson Troy Gibson of Kings Mountain; his grandchildren, Courtney Jackson, Tiffany Fowler, Cody Broome, Pam Duncan and Jimmy Gibson; and his brother Clayton Brymer of Gastonia.
