She was predeceased by: her parents, Will R. Howard and Edna Jane Wiggins Howard; and her siblings, Ronnie, Jack, Hubert, Houston, Frank Howard and Louise Howard.
She is survived by: her husband Floyd Ballard; her children, Dain Ballard (Susan Lee), Smitty Ballard (Amy), Robert Hawes, Amy Cottle (Brad), Lorri Edington (Jamey), Marty Hipp (Bobby) and Beth Pursley; and her siblings, Clyde Wiggins, Will Howard, Barbara Stamper and Betty Dow. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
