He was predeceased by: his parents, Watchell Cicero Barnhill Sr. and Thelma Bumgardner Barnhill; his wife Lois Barnhill; and his siblings, Robert, Bill, James, W. C. Barnhill and Marie B. Gordon.
He is survived by: his children, Tommy Barnhill (Debbie), Curtis Barnhill (Cheryl) and Blair Barnhill (June); and his grandchildren, Thomas Barnhill, II (Dawn), Davis Barnhill (Arden), Nick Barnhill, Caleb Barnhill, Lee Ann Barnhill, Hannah Barnhill, Abigail Barnhill, Alex Barnhill (Emem) and Sam Barnhill. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gaston Memorial Park (1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southminster Church, 1401 Hoffman Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
