She was predeceased by: her mother Linda Thomas. She is survived by: her father Bill Thomas; her daughter Stephanie Lauren Pahutski of Charlotte; her sister Sharon Johnson (Eric) of Gastonia; and her pet Dudley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kim's name to Carolina Caring Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
