He was predeceased by: his brothers, Marvin Poindexter, Jr and Mike Poindexter. He is survived by: his wife Irene McGinnis Poindexter; his sons, John Poindexter and Michael Poindexter; his grandchildren, Devin, Josh, Cody and Drew; and his brother Gene Poindexter (Judy).
