It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathy Lynn Vanover of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Coffey and Laura Coffey; her sisters, Phyllis Blankenship and Jo Nell Riffle; her stepson Jonathan Samuel Vanover; her grandson Michael Brady Atwood; and her niece Vera Lynn Tuell.
She is survived by: her husband Sam Vanover Jr.; her children, Leita Neal (Shane), Jason Vanover (Amanda) and Lora Vanover; her grandchildren, Clarissa Neal, Amber Green (TJ), Brittney Ellis (Matthew), Austin Neal, Matthew Atwood (Tabitha), Hysel Holbert, Savannah Neal, Jonathan Vanover (Nicole) and Anna Schuler; and her sister Carolyn Bailey. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Services - South Chapel (1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052).
