It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Thomas Rowell Jr. (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on March 16, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Thomas Rowell and Marcella Hicks Rowell; his siblings, Sarah Jeanette Rowell, Marcella Elizabeth Rowell Bonar and John; his great-nieces, Olivia Loper, Asheley Loper, Rebecca Bonar West, Le Claire, Sara Bonar, Rachael Bonar and La Grange; and also, Liam West and Aidan West of Le Claire.
In lieu of flowers, John would take great joy in having donations made in his memory to either The Animal League of Gaston County, Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement or Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Belmont NC.
