We are sad to announce that on January 21, 2022, at the age of 74, John Richard King of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert King and Cannie Biddix King; his son-in-law Tim McCurry; and his brothers, James T. King and William Kester King.

He is survived by: his wife Vicky Sudduth King; his children, John Gordy (Kim) and Angie McCurry; his grandchildren, Jacqueline Gordy of Brook White, T. J, Sarah Gordy and Preston McCurry; and his sisters, Barbara K Frye (Cecil), Mary Ball, Myrtle Callahan and Patricia Moon (Cecil). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
