He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Hall; his wife Patricia Spears Hall; and his siblings, Jesse Hall, Jennings Hall and Evelyn Hall Barnes.

He is survived by: his sons, John Hall, Jr. and Jeff Hall; and his grandsons, Logan Hall and Preston Hall.
