He is survived by: his wife Mary Edwards Simmons; his daughter Crystal Simmons; his siblings, Ernie Simmons, Reggie Simmons (Lorri), Randy Pearson and Cathy Burgin (Randy); and his grandchildren, Alyssa Barrett (Coleman), Megan Keese and Christopher Keese.
