She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Comer Godfrey and Dovie Inez Sloan; her husband David Belton, Sr.; and her siblings, Norris Godfrey, Ronald Godfrey, Myers Godfrey, Audrey Jackson and Joyce Blue.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Belton McDaniel (David), David Belton, Jr. (Marina) and Barry Belton (Amelia); her sisters, Melva Greene and Armine Hendrix; her grandchild Sloane Rinaldi (Richard); her great grandchildren, Micah, Mac, Anna and Graham; her granddaughter Hannah Rhyne (Brad); her great grandchildren, Mary Bradley, Sam and Shepherd; her grandchildren, Boone McDaniel, Amy Williams (Ashton), Erin Belton and Katie Duttman (Daniel); her great grandchild Oliver; and her grandchildren, Daniel Belton and Sarah Belton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkwood Baptist Church, 1827 Dixon Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
