It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jimmy Ray McAlister of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eula Mae McAlister (Cooper) and Grady Ardell McAlister; his wife Frances McAlister; and his son Jimmy Ray McAlister, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Myers, Larry Tarbush, Donald Tarbush and Jeremy McAlister. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, six brothers and five sisters.
