He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Broadus Bannister and Marie Bannister; his wife Glenda Powell Bannister; his sons, Gary Bannister (Elizabeth) and Richard Bannister; his stepsons, Glenn Stevens and Eric Stevens (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Keb Bannister, Lylah Bannister, Siena Bannister and Trevor Stevens; and the mother of his children Pat Bannister. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
