He was predeceased by: his parents, Erskine Tomberlin and Christine Johnson Tomberlin; his wife Patsy Bazzle Tomberlin; and his brother Jimmy Tomberlin. He is survived by: his children, Jody Tomberlin (Cindy), Jerry Tomberlin, Jamie Hook (Thomas), April Mincey (Steve) and Beth Cunningham (Tim); his siblings, Buddy Tomberlin, Donna Breedlove and Sharon Gaddis; his grandchildren, Christine McGinnis, Jason (Courtney Shields), Samuel (Nathaniel Hook) and Heather (Daniel Tomberlin); and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Jaiden and Emily Shields.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
