He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Brance and Melva Cope Hamby; his wife Sylvia Jean Hamby; his siblings, Jerry Hamby, Steve Hamby and Debbie Hamby; and his close friend Jeff Erby.
He is survived by: his sister Kathy Brummitt; his nieces and nephews, Angie Nash, Melanie Brummitt, Ariel Nikole Dunn, Kimberly Vanderlaand, Michael Shannon Brummitt, David Christopher Brummitt, Joshua Kylie Ball and Brandon Lee Ball; his great-nephew Brayden Ball; his great-niece Lilly Ball; and his sister-in-law Renee Hamby.
