We are sad to announce that on December 15, 2023, at the age of 56, Jeanne Smith Abernathy (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Max Smith Sr. and Patsy Rabb Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Autumn Abernathy (Rickey Butler) and Erin Abernathy; her brothers, Jerry Max Smith Jr. (Blair Styers Smith) and Timothy Smith (Michelle Johnson Smith); her grandchildren, Eli, Skylar and Jaxon; and her nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Speas, Dr. Kirklin Smith, Zion Smith and Sylas Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Salvation Army.
