She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Alexander Lynn and Lola Robinson Lynn; her husband Johnny Whitesides; and her brother Jim Lynn. She is survived by: her children, Kim Ferguson (Buddy) of Clinton, SC, John Whitesides (Tiffaney) of Lewisville, NC and Sam Whitesides (Kelly) of Clover, SC; her sister Linda Hamby; her grandchildren, Megan Goodwin (Craig), Will Ferguson (Katherine), Patrick Whitesides, Madison Whitesides and Kylie Whitesides; and her great grandchildren, Matthew and Anna Goodwin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bradley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1425 W Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28052.
