It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Bruce Norwood of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on September 7, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father James Frank. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Sweatt Norwood; his children, Yvonne Norwood, Jimmy Norwood and Greg Norwood; his stepchildren, Keith Hyman and Kathy Hyman Stewart; and his brother David Norwood. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Union Road Baptist Church.
