He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac J. Freeman, Sr. and Pauline Wilson Freeman; and his siblings, Ezra Freeman, Robert Freeman, Clyde Freeman, Naomi Bright, Edith Hannah and Eva Ann Helton.
He is survived by: his children, Jody (Beverly Freeman) and Jackie (Jim Vaneske); his grandchildren, Ashley (Alex Williams), Amanda (Kyler Beane), Jacob (Megan Vaneske) and Jackson Vaneske; and his great grandchildren, Ava Williams, Josie Beane and Langston Beane.
The Freeman family has requested in lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joe may be sent to Tri-County Animal Rescue, Post Office Box 483, Alexis, NC 28005.
