It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hoyle Steven Foy of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lee Foy Sr. and Martha Florene Wells Foy; and his brother James L. Foy, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Diane Foy; his children, Steven "Steve" Foy, Jr. (Terri) of Gastonia and Kerr Foy (Rebecca) of Gastonia; his stepchildren, Jacqueline Titus, Allen Morningstar and Michael Morningstar; his siblings, Charles A. Foy (Barbara), Joan Foy Cannon and Marvin R. Foy; his grandchildren, Chelsea Foy Winn, Kayla Danielle Foy, Olivia Foy McDonald, Siera Foy and Alexandria Foy; and his nieces and nephews, Donna Smith, Barney Cannon, Jane Pearson, Charles "Chip" Foy, Jr., Beverly Benfield, Scott Foy and Mark Foy. He is also survived by 6 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
