He was predeceased by: his mother Lee William Petrea; his brother Richard W Petrea, Sr.; his caregiver Kay Cozart Petrea; his nephew William Petrea; and his cousins, Ray Hurlocker, Fred Poplin and Wayne Poplin.

He is survived by: his cousins, Robert Hurlocker and Phyllis Harris.
