It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Ray Ownsby of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on May 23, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father James Robert Ownsby. He is survived by: his wife Martha; his children, Marty Ownsby (Jo) and Debbie Sanford (Dale); his brother James Robert Ownsby, Jr. (Brenda); his grandchildren, Jason Ownsby and Laticia Williams (Richard); and his great grandchild Noah Vess.
