It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Ruth Griffie (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Union, South Carolina, who passed away on November 15, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Burnette Cogdell and Ellen Young Cogdell; her husband Frank Griffie; her grandson Jacob Griffie; and her siblings, Steve Burnette Cogdell, Herman Burnette Cogdell, Ernest Cogdell and Jeanette Quinn.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Ann Griffie Clubb (Joe) and James Franklin Griffie (Tracey); her grandchildren, James Richard Griffie, Jesse Quinton Griffie, Brian Allen Clubb (Rhonda) and Nathan Ray Clubb (Carrie); her great grandchildren, Jacob Griffie, Cailey Griffie, Kaitlynne Lynch, Kendal Lee Clubb, Emil Gravley and Summer Figueroa; and her sister Connie Peak. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
