It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel McKnight (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in York, South Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Green Kendrick and Katie Kendrick; her husband Samuel Woodrow McKnight; and her siblings, George Kendrick, Robert Kendrick, Billie Faye Kendrick, Marie Kendrick, Elmine Kendrick, Etta Kendrick, Martha Kendrick, Lucille K. Shoats, Maggie K Glenn, Mamie K Galloway and Helen Adams.

She is survived by: her sister Bessie Kendrick Moore of Gastonia, N. C.; and her stepdaughter Rose McKnight of Gastonia, N. C.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren and an endless list of friends.
