She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Virgil Hyde and Mary Thelma Hooper Hyde; her husband Billy Ormand Hayes; and her siblings, Regina Willis, Dorothy Collins, Doris Godwin, Phillip Hyde and Reid Hyde.

She is survived by: her daughters, Patty Paradis (Greg) of Charlotte, NC and Michele Dawes of Asheboro, NC; and her grandchildren, Robert Paradis (Michelle), Katie Illig, Thomas Paradis and Patrick Dawes. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
