We are sad to announce that on April 6, 2020, at the age of 96, Hattie Brown (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hattie Brown to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Whitworth and Lonnie Patterson Whitworth; her husband Robert John Andy Brown, Jr.; her son James John Andy Brown; her grandson Clenzo Brown, Jr.; her great grandchild Jessica Pettis; her siblings, Grover, Jake Whitworth and Mary Alice Lee; and her stepmother Mattie Whitworth.

She is survived by: her children, Verna Mae Brooks (Luther) of Bessemer City, NC., Jeanette Littlejohn (Marion), Doretha Adams, Mary Stokes (Leonard), Meeks (Roger) of Kings Mountain, NC, Clenzo Brown (Barbara), Roger Brown, Robert Lewis Brown of Bessemer City, NC., Willie Lee Brown (Sheila) of Dallas, NC, Don Brown of High Shoals, NC. and Gilbert Brown of Kings Mountain, NC.; her sisters, Janice Friday and Louise Hoke; her brother-in-law George Brown (Betty); her nephew Grover Whitworth, Jr.; and her close friend Ann Floyd. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Thank you to the excellent staff, namely Dr. Robinson, who cared for her during this Covid-19 crisis and stayed in contact once she declined.
