He is survived by: his wife Carolyn (Sullivan); his son Craig R. Hipkins; his grandchildren, Paige E. Hipkins and Robert J. Hipkins; his brother Thomas F. Kelly; his daughter-in-law Tina Hipkins (Hollingsworth); and his cousin England. He is also survived by nephews, nieces.
A memorial service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of A Simple Service Burial and Cremation (451 Hospital Dr, Gastonia, NC 28054).
