He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Alexander Willis and Mattie Lee Griffin Willis; his wife Sylvia Green Willis; his children, Charles Willis, Sr. and Betty Conley; and his siblings, Phonice Greene, Margaret Ritch, Carl "Junior" Willis and Harvey Willis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Peggy Smith and Carolyn Polson; and his sister Geraldine Gibbs. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
