He was predeceased by: his parents, A. "Ott" Mason and Eunice Wall Mason. He is survived by: his wife Terry M. Mason; his son Gary "Marty" Mason; his daughter-in-law Lynn Peppler; his daughter Caroline Mason; his grandchildren, Jacob Mason, Nathan St. Clair, Dylan Mason and Landyn Fassett; and his siblings, Dean (Ann Mason), Randy Mason, Carolyn Blandford and Sandy (Charles Merrell). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The Mason family has requested in lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Toot may be sent to Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
