He was predeceased by: his parents, A. "Ott" Mason and Eunice Wall Mason. He is survived by: his wife Terry M. Mason; his son Gary "Marty" Mason; his daughter-in-law Lynn Peppler; his daughter Caroline Mason; his grandchildren, Jacob Mason, Nathan St. Clair, Dylan Mason and Landyn Fassett; and his siblings, Dean (Ann Mason), Randy Mason, Carolyn Blandford and Sandy (Charles Merrell). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
