It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Faye Weisner Lanier of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hall Weisner and Edith Mae Rice Weisner; her siblings, W. H. Weisner, Jr. of Durham, NC, Charles J. Weisner of Durham, NC, Pearl Lowe of Durham, NC, Hilda Robinson of Durham, NC, Marion Carden of Durham, NC and Leona Goss of Durham, NC; and her grandson David G. Rhinehart.
She is survived by: her husband Roland V. Lanier, Sr.; her sons, R. Vann Lanier, Jr. (Sharon) of Belmont, NC and David Samuel Lanier (Lucy) of Macon, GA; her grandchildren, Chrissy Lanier Wright (Wes) and Matthew R. Lanier; her granddaughter-in-law Tonya Rhinehart; and her great grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Preston, Morgan and Brittany. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
