The memory of Faye Hoppes Collis of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ebbon Hoppes and Ruby Boyd Hoppes; and her brothers, Ted Hoppes and Tull Hoppes. She is survived by: her husband H. Leon Collis; her children, Debbie C. Hobson (Kyle), Rob Collis (Dawn), Donna Craig (Chip) and Steve Collis (Sandra); her sister Betty Kendrick; her sister-in-law Sarah Stump (Charles); her grandchildren, Ty Hobson (Suzanne), Blake Hobson (Rachel), Hannah Hobson Hennessy (Ryan), Emily Collis Nobles (Currey), Hailey Collis Weeks (Jackson), Ali Craig Williams (Ty), Wil Craig (Haley), Thad Collis and Ariel Faulkner (Brad); and her great grandchildren, Corbin, Gunnar Hobson, Emma, Liam Hennessy, Sawyer, Silas Williams and Collis Faulkner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (3001 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
