With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Yountz Holt (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Davidson, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Yountz and Stella Yountz; her husband Earl Holt; and her brothers, John Yountz, Henry "Jackie" Yountz and Charles Yountz.
She is survived by: her children, Myra Kirkland (Mark Pickford) of Mint Hill, Carol Calvert of Gastonia and Jay Holt (Becky) of Raleigh; and her sister Nancy Simerson (Kenneth). She is also survived by five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 2650 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
