He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Stines and Mary Stines; his sisters, Etoulia Davidson and Juanita Deal; and his granddaughter Shanna Lee Stines.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Stines; and his children, Nick Stines (Holly), Trudy Huffstetler (David), Sherry Stines and Curt Stines (Lynne). He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
