It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Alexander (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Lincolnton, North Carolina, who passed away on December 11, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elexie Bolick (Martin) and James Bolick; her husband Thomas Lindsey Alexander; and her sister Mary Alice Winkler. She is survived by: her children, Sandy Nelson Patterson (Michael) and Dana Walter Nelson (Marie); her grandchildren, Angie Gaines (Gary), Lisa Peranton (Rick), Kimberly Lyons, Jamie Lyons (Jessica), Sherry Leach (Gregg) and Bryan Nelson; her great grandchildren, Lauren, Nick Gaines, Kara Wilcoxson, Mackenzie Lyons, Scarlet and Daisey Leach; and her nephew David Winkler (Angie).
