It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Hamilton Groves Jr. (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hamilton Groves, Sr. and Annie Kathleen Huffstetler Groves; and his brothers, Gary and Clay Groves. He is survived by: his wife Martha Crisp Groves; his daughters, Annette G. Overcash (Tommy) and Christine G. Diem (Don); his grandchildren, Andrew Sexton, Meredith Davenport (Joey), Duane Cole (Nikki), Dennis Cole, Wesley Wise and Joshua Wise (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hunter Davenport, Caleb Wise, Jimmy, Kaylee and Madison Monk; his sisters-in-law, Becky Groves and Loretta Groves; his nieces and nephews, Scott Groves (Ellen), David Groves (Jessica), Mandy Frank (Dave) and Hannah Nichols (Ben); and also, Jennifer and Gene Monk.
