It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Tate Burleson (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence V. Tate and Gertrude Sheppard Tate; her husband Claude Burleson; her daughter Gale Burleson Watson; and her sisters, Sara Adams, Juanita Canon and Pat Barnes.
She is survived by: her daughter Claudette (Gary Watts); her grandchildren, Keith Watts (Kem), Brian Watts (Deann) and Kerry Watson Christian (Shane); her great grandchildren, Josh, Alston, Bailey, Logan, Mikayla Watts and Ava Christian; and her son-in-law Steve Watson (Darlene).
