He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Carmey and Violet Brooks Cash. He is survived by : his sister Janice (Bob Whisnant); his nephew Todd (Cindy Whisnant); his great-nephew Zack Whisnant; and his great-niece Heather Devine.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, July 21st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Life Church (501 Cramer Mountain Rd, Cramerton, NC 28032).
