He was predeceased by: his parents, Leamon Ward and Lillie Johnson Ward; and his brothers, Fred, Clyde, Jerry, Don and Charlie Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Nettie Duncan Ward; his daughters, Sandra Kay Ward Black and Kathy Ward Fuller; his grandchildren, Lonnie Pittman, Wesley Baucom (Kayla Mullarkey) and Gracie Fuller; and his sister Patricia Ward Martin (Dennis). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
