He was predeceased by: his parents, Beauford C. Browne and Emma Blevins. He is survived by: his wife Judy Gipson Browne; his children, Matthew Browne (Michelle), Wendy McCraw (Doug) of Marion, NC, Tony Adair (Julie) of Lawndale, NC and Wendi Shields of McAdenville, NC; and his grandchildren, Victoria Browne, Griffin Evans, Noah Browne, Samantha Martin, Joshua Jennings, Erin Shields, Summer Shields, Brooke Adair Cruz-Ramos and Alexis Adair.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to a local Police/Fire Association or local animal rescue.
