It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Rae Long of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Pink Ray Long; her husband Homer Sylvester Long Jr.; her son Randy Dale Long; her sister Pauline Long Cochrane; and her pet Toby.

She is survived by: her daughter Tracy Gentry (Wayne); her sister Barbara Long Bradley; her grandsons, Tim and Josh Gentry; and her great grandchild Greyson Gentry.
