She was predeceased by: her parents, May Dixon (Moore) and Charlie Dixon; her husband James Ray Bynum, Sr.; and her former husband Carroll Hicks. She is survived by: her children, James Ray Bynum, Jr. (Robin), Pat Ward (David Glenn Ward) and Doug Bynum; and her grandchildren, Seth Bynum (Bobbi), Alex Bynum (Jamie), Jeremy Walls (Peyton), Nelson Bynum (Lythia), Kevin Bynum (Tasha) and Ashley Hutchins (Andrew).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Doris' name to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or diabetes.org.
