He is survived by: his wife Sherri Kirby; his son Donald Keith Kirby, III (Shelly); his stepsons, Scott Carpenter (Cindy Morico) and Chris Carpenter (Erica); his sister Crystal Ferguson; and his grandsons, Preston Kirby and Landon Carpenter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
