It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dianne Loretta Townsend of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Weist and Loretta Prouty Weist; and her son Alan Ray Mason. She is survived by: her sons, Frank Mason, III of Gastonia, Larry Mason (Jo) of Dallas and Michael Townsend of Flint, MI; her brother Rick Prouty (Patsy); and her grandchildren, Kristin Jones, Frank Mason, IV, Garrett Mason (Kat), Kara Mason Colbert (Joe) and Annie Mason. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
