Delores (Herrick) Sensing Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delores (Herrick) Sensing of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on June 22, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Mae Herrick (Crews) and Clyde L. Herrick; her husband Eugene "Gene" Story Sensing; her sons, Kenneth Blake Sensing, Joseph Eugene Sensing and Donald Neal Sensing; her siblings, Carolyn Herrick, Charlotte Herrick, Glenda Herrick, Bobby Herrick, Ricky Herrick, Thomas "Bug" Herrick, Henry Herrick and Robert Herrick; and her close friend Frank Berkley.

She is survived by: her children, Peggy Griggs (Cliff), Sharon Renea Sensing and William "Bo" Sensing (Sandra); her grandchildren, Shane Sensing, Greg Sensing, Audra Sensing, Ashley Brown (Kelly), Justin Griggs, Dylan Sensing (Carly), Paul Wright (Aleisa), Travis Wright (Terran) and Sharon Wright; her siblings, Grace Lambert (Herrick), Jennie Scarborough (Herrick), Ronald Herrick (Robin) and Norman Herrick; and also Robin Harris. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions are made in Delores' name to Faith Baptist Church, 1102 West Walnut Avenue, Gastonia, North Carolina 28052.
